Polyester vs. Cotton Yarn

　　After reviewing my research from the top three websites, I noticed some key differences in their characteristics and applications between polyester and cotton yarn.

　　Durability: Polyester yarn is much stronger than cotton. It can withstand friction and does not wear out easily, making it good for things exposed to everyday wear and tear.

　　Tensile Strength: Polyester has a higher tensile strength, permitting it to endure more pulling forces.

　　Moisture Management: Cotton remains the best absorbent material for moisture, thanks to its breathability against the skin, making it suitable for warm-weather clothing.

　　Moisture Wicking: Polyester cannot absorb moisture well enough, which may be a disadvantage, particularly in moist conditions.

　　Care and Maintenance: Another advantage is that polyester yarn is easy to care for as it does not shrink or wrinkle, while on the other hand, cleaning and ironing of cotton requires effort

　　Shrinkage Rate: After washing, polyester shrinks less compared to cotton, which significantly contracts

　　Aesthetic Appearance: Cotton provides a natural, gentle appearance suitable for day-to-day use, whereas polyester can give off a more tailored look often worn in official gatherings.

　　Lustre: A shiny finish, on the other hand, enhances the aesthetic appeal of polyester yarn meant for dressier applications.

　　By reflecting on these aspects, I can analyze what type of yarn will suit me best after considering the intended qualities and the end purpose of my textile projects.
